Linda Vilka (1995) is a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller from Latvia, with an educational background in art from Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands. She recently obtained her Professional Doctoral degree in Arts from the Art Academy of Latvia, where she also works as a guest lecturer in the Department of Environmental Art.

Vilka's work delves into themes of self-reflection, emotional complexities, and the ways they can be unraveled. Through participatory, community, and contemporary art, she rejuvenates forgotten places, highlighting the interplay between our surroundings and how we remember, express, and decompress. She uses a dynamic mix of materials, words, and bold pigments, tailoring her approach to each specific narrative and concept.

Vilka is the creator of the Embassy of Targale and Targale’s Artist Residency, and co-creator of Riga's Highest Gallery and the Akniste Gardeners Association project. She actively engages in various projects in Latvia and abroad and has held seven solo exhibitions in the Netherlands and Latvia. Her diverse experiences include studying interior design and visual merchandising, working as a rye spike cutter and blueberry farmer, and taking on roles such as art director and one-day bar owner.
In addition, Vilka organizes contemporary art events, group exhibitions, workshops, and community art projects. She has participated in several artist residencies, including the Tirkultura Audiovisual Summer Gallery (Latvia), Sansusi Well-being Residency at Akniste Psychoneurological Clinic (Latvia), "Rise of Women" Residency (Croatia), "Ukraine. Residency of Freedom" (Latvia), and Threads of Tranquility Residency (Serbia).
